I never feel that I am too old or it is too late to try anything new. Like when we’d go to all these clubs to listen to music and to see different groups and I would think to myself, “I can do that”.
I was 58 years old. I decided that I wanted to try to perform. I loved to sing harmony. I envisioned three women fronting a five-piece band. I found the band members and one woman singer. I couldn’t find the third woman. My daughter asked me if I wanted her to be the third singer.
Everyday I would visualize us singing onstage. It came true and I had that experience with my daughter. We made it to ‘Feinstien’s’, the cabaret club at the Loew’s Regency on the Upper East Side.
